Dr. Harandi was born and raised in San Diego. He could not get himself to leave, so he did his undergraduate studies at UCSD, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, and later went to USC Dental School.

Everything: Thai, Chinese, Italian, Persian, Greek, Indian, Burgers, Pizza, etc. particularly things that are spicy…and things with garlic (Don’t worry he wears a mask).
Basketball, Weightlifting, not very good at golf, tips would be appreciated. He is a fan of the Chargers, Padres, Lakers, and most sports.
“Open wider.” requested the dentist, as he began his examination of the patient.
“Good God !” he said startled. “You’ve got the biggest cavity I’ve ever seen – the biggest cavity I’ve ever seen.”
“OK Doc !” replied the patient. “I m scared enough without you saying something like that twice.”
“I didn’t !” said the dentist. “That was the echo.”
In case you have not noticed, Tom is Dr. Fred Harandi’s brother. Tom was born and raised in San Diego graduating from Torrey Pines High School in 1999. He then achieved a Bachelors Degree in Political Science at UCLA.
Tom enjoys teaching and coaching, writing, and playing sports.
This is Tom’s dog, Shah. He is the official San Diego Smile Dog.
Shah is a miniature schnauzer, and occasionally makes visits to the office. Feel free to pet him, he’s very nice.
